QV Healthcare Practitioner Student Scholarship Terms & Conditions

  1. Application Requirements
    Applications must be submitted using the official form and must address all questions and selection criteria in full.

  2. Administration and Eligibility
    The QV Healthcare Practitioner Student Scholarship is administered, funded, and awarded by Ego Pharmaceuticals Pty Ltd (ABN 86 005 142 361), located at 21–31 Malcolm Rd, Braeside VIC 3195 (‘Ego Pharmaceuticals’).
    Employees of Ego Pharmaceuticals and their immediate families are ineligible to apply. Immediate family includes spouse, ex-spouse, de facto partner, child or step-child (biological or adopted), parent, step-parent, grandparent, step-grandparent, uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, sibling, step-sibling, or first cousin.

  3. Eligibility Criteria
    The scholarship is open to Australian residents currently enrolled in a tertiary course in medicine, pharmacy, or nursing. The scholarship is not affiliated with any specific tertiary institution.

  4. Essay Submission
    Applicants must submit a short essay (250–500 words) responding to the question:
    “How will you utilise your field of study and the $10,000 scholarship prize to benefit patients with sensitive and problematic skin?”
    The essay must also outline how the scholarship funds will be used to support the applicant’s ongoing education (e.g., further study, training, or conference attendance in Australia or overseas).

  5. Award Discretion
    Ego Pharmaceuticals reserves the right to withhold or not award the scholarship in any given year.

  6. Assessment and Final Decision
    All applications will be assessed by Ego Pharmaceuticals. All decisions are final, and no correspondence will be entered into.

  7. Late or Incomplete Applications
    Applications that are late or incomplete will not be considered.

  8. Scholarship Awards
    Up to three (3) scholarships of $10,000 each will be awarded. Funds must be used for educational purposes such as further study, training, or conference attendance.
    Successful applicants must provide valid Australian bank account details. Payment will be made within 30 days of the announcement.

  9. Post-Award Requirements
    Successful applicants may be asked to provide a short biography and a photograph.
    Within nine months of receiving the scholarship, recipients must submit a brief report detailing how the scholarship supported their studies.
    Ego Pharmaceuticals must be acknowledged in any resulting publication, presentation, or social media post.

  10. Publicity
    Ego Pharmaceuticals reserves the right to publish information about the scholarship and its recipients in any media format of its choosing.

  11. Taxation
    Applicants are responsible for seeking independent advice regarding any tax implications of receiving the scholarship.

  12. Application Costs
    All costs associated with applying (including internet access and data charges) are the responsibility of the applicant.

  13. Intellectual Property and Privacy
    By applying, applicants grant Ego Pharmaceuticals a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable, and sub-licensable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, and display their entry in any media for any purpose, without compensation or attribution.
    Applicants warrant that their submission is original and that they have the authority to grant these rights.
    Ego Pharmaceuticals collects personal information (PI) to administer the scholarship and may disclose it to third parties, including agents and regulatory authorities, as required.
    Submission of an application constitutes consent to this collection and use of PI.
    Ego Pharmaceuticals will handle PI in accordance with its Privacy Policy, which includes details on how applicants can access, update, or correct their PI, opt out of communications, or lodge complaints.
    All entries become the property of Ego Pharmaceuticals. PI will not be disclosed outside Australia.

  14. Applicant Declarations
    By submitting an application, applicants confirm that the essay is their original work and that all information provided is accurate. Applicants agree to provide supporting documentation if requested.
    Applicants also consent to receiving marketing communications from QV and Ego Pharmaceuticals (with the option to unsubscribe at any time).
